I flew into California yesterday for a weeks trip to the Wild Horse Sanctuary in Shingletown California. Fourteen hours of travel! I lived here for 6 months 21 years ago when I took a year off of University to volunteer. A lot of memories have come rushing back. The smell and sounds as much as the visual experience.
This morning was my first day of shooting. I managed to find a few family bands to photograph. I hung out with them for several hours until they ran back into the hills. I have a large amount of photos to sift through already but I’m going to share a few from my first glance through….then back out for a few hours this evening to hopefully track a few more!!
