Day three of my trip included a six hour ride up the 2,000 foot climb to the camp at the Wild Horse Sanctuary. I took one camera and a small lens on the ride with me and managed to take a few shots, but I have decided to do a separate blog post just about the rides. These rides are open to the general public to ride out into the mountains tracking the horses on the 5,000 property. It is something to experience.
When you get to the camp, where you will spend the night in a cabin, if you are as lucky as I was, you spend the night watching bands of horses come into the pond and meadow at the camp. Several groups with foals spent the night. After dinner the treat of watching several frisky ones run around and play together just after the sun set. The photos on this post are dedicated to those youngsters.
